A theme with its own visual language
Character comes from the project.
The theme follows a visual idea. Templates, components, colors and fonts are defined for the website; its material stays in the CMS. This site uses a warm editorial composition. Another project can be architectural, minimal, vivid or experimental.
Typography made for reading.
Literata gives headings an editorial voice; Source Sans 3 supports long reading and the interface. Both font families and their licenses are included locally in the theme.
Try the real heading below. Change its size or accent and see how the same content changes its presence. The control affects this specimen only, and the layout adapts on a narrow screen.
Making something beautiful feels natural.
Give an image room to speak.
An image can show people, material, light and setting. Large editorial illustrations use an image preset that preserves proportions so the whole composition remains visible. Captions give context. Use your own photography, licensed stock or generated work, and review the result.
Composition is part of development.
A theme determines how the data becomes a page: a generous opening, editorial chapters, a gallery, a poster or a catalog. Components repeat useful patterns; templates preserve differences between page types.
The implementation page lets you switch among three compositions of one gallery. On the homepage, each concept has its own sections and rhythm. Data remains in the CMS, with layout and behavior in the theme.

How the website takes shape

The full production workflow.
Motion should explain a change.
The theme uses transitions to connect changes of visual world and gallery composition. In this article, a reading indicator and table of contents help show progress. Browser support determines which enhancements run. Decorative transitions respect reduced motion, while content and controls remain accessible.
Keep developing the visual language.
Theme and content have independent lifecycles. A studio or agent can improve templates while editors update material. Preview changes on real data before release. Keep the theme source available so another team can continue the project and retain its accumulated content.
A useful system helps a website keep its character as it grows.
